Telling A Story Without Words
With Prokofiev’s, “Peter And The Wolf”
Students will create their own improvised characters in a narrative pantomime of the classical Russian folktale of Peter and the Wolf. Students embark on a creative and fun journey on which they will interpret the sound, dynamics and textures of Prokofiev’s music using their bodies and unique creative expression.

“Carnival Of The Animals”
Students will create fourteen animals in their own Carnival Of The Animals dance by including as many physical details as possible, while paying attention to the mood the music creates. Students will be observers and participants. They will exchange ideas and apply suggestions and they will be challenged to call upon their imaginations and creative expression.
