    Strega Nona

    English Language Arts Workshop


    A story drama and musical play for 1st 2nd and 3rd grade classrooms in which every student becomes a character.


    Story drama is a remarkable way to engage students in the process of telling a story complete with music and sound effects and characters who have physicality and vocal expression. Learning through story drama makes a significant impact on how students retain the experience.

    Students love to chant…


    “Bubble, bubble, pasta pot,

    Boil me some pasta, nice and hot.

    I am hungry, and it's time to sup

    Boil enough pasta to fill me up


    Enough, enough, pasta pot.

    I have my pasta, nice and hot,

    So simmer down my pot of clay,

    Until I am hungry another day.”
